Responsible for establishing the design intent for all retail projects, identifying code restrictions that may affect the design for individual stores while maintaining design consistency throughout the fleet.

Description

• Develop diagrammatic sketches into feasible concept designs
• Manage a diverse team of design professionals, including drafting RFP’s and overseeing consultant contracts for both domestic and international projects
• Develop concept sketches into innovative and constructible projects, overseeing architectural, mechanical and structural teams.
• Understand and interpret local building codes, integrating comprehensive design solutions compliant with local and regional laws.
• Identify technically challenging project conditions, and develop solutions with development, procurement, and standards teams to read consistently within a constantly evolving design vocabulary.
• Assist real estate and development teams to establish project schedules and initial budget assumptions.
• Visit domestic and international project sites and perform in depth construction surveys.
• Manage internal approval process.
• Organize, update, and archive all project documentation.
• Work with senior executives, store operations, real estate, and development teams to create, manage, and implement fleet wide initiatives.
